Men’s Golf In Fourth As Cal Poly Invitational Paused In Second Round Due To Darkness

CARMEL, Calif. – Play was paused in the middle of the second round at the final fall tournament for Long Beach State, as the Beach took part in the Cal Poly Invitational. LBSU was in fourth place among the 13-team field Monday.
Senior Charlie Forster was the low finisher for the Beach after the first day of action. After a first round 71, Forster had a trio of birdies to be two-under par after 12 holes and sit in the Top 10 of the individual leaderboard.
Krishnav Chopraa was a surprise late addition to the lineup and had an excellent first round, a four-under par 68 helped by four straight birdies in final nine holes. The junior remained in the Top 20 through 13 holes in the first round. Also in the Top 20 was Steen Zeman. Making his first appearance of the season, Zeman was two-under through 12 just like Forster in round two after a first round 73.
Clay Seeber and Alejandro De Castro Piera were both two-over par in the opening round. Seeber was even through 15 holes completing the most for the LBSU group in round two, while De Castro was two-over in the second round as well.
