Zeman had the top finish for LBSU at the NCAA Championship since Mark O'Meara
Placing in a tie for 72nd overall, Zeman was outside of the Top 9 individuals from non-advancing teams to move on to Monday's final round of stroke play. His finish was the highest for a Long Beach State golfer at the NCAA Championship since program legend Mark O'Meara, who tied for 21st overall in the 1979 edition of the tournament.
For the second consecutive day, Zeman opened the day with a birdie on 10, and the graduate stayed even through his first nine holes of the day. He also had two birdies on back-to-back holes on 4 and 5.
Zeman wraps up the season and his Long Beach State career ranked in the Top 150 nationally as an individual. The graduate was the Big West Championship Individual Medalist, and the first golfer from the program to reach the NCAA Championship as an individual since Philip Chian in 2012.
