The sophomore is a thrower on the Big West Champion, women’s track and field team.
IRVINE, Calif. – Track and Field's Keeley Rasmussen will represent The Big West as a member of the NCAA Division I National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The committee is committed to being proactive in service and representation of all 160,000 Division I student-athletes.
Rasmussen's term on the NCAA SAAC will begin on July 1 and continue through June 30, 2025.
A thrower on the Big West champions women's track and field team with two more years of eligibility remaining, she has placed top five in each of the last two Big West Hammer championship events and currently holds the sixth-best outdoor mark in program history.
"As the national (SAAC) representative, I will be committed to fostering a strong sense of community among professionals and working to ensure that all members have access to the resources and support they need to succeed," Rasmussen said. "I would be an active listener, engaging with members at all levels to understand their concerns and priorities and working to address these issues in a meaningful way."
The Oregon native has been very hands on with several community service projects at the Beach including organizing athletic outreach programs on campus as well as coordinating beach clean-up services with the entire athletics department.
