LONG BEACH, Calif.—For the last time this season, Long Beach State will be in the pool at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center as they host No. 10 UC Santa Barbara on Saturday at 7 p.m.
No. 7 Long Beach State (15-6, 3-1) will look to extend their win streak to three games after an exciting 12-9 victory over Brown last week. No. 10 UC Santa Barbara (16-8, 1-3) will also be looking to build momentum after snapping a three-game losing streak with a 13-12 overtime win over CSUN this past weekend.
Junior attacker Rachael Kowalchick continues to lead the Beach with 46 goals this season, followed closely by freshman Elisa Portillo with 42. Martina Cardona, Anne de Kleer, and Gabriella Matafora-Adams have all scored 25 or more goals as well. Long Beach State has won the last three contests against UC Santa Barbara, with the most recent victory eliminating the Gauchos from last season's Big West Tournament.
After the game, Long Beach State will recognize six graduates. The Beach will send off Katie Dill, Inbar Geva, Gabriella Matafora-Adams, Sierra May, Aliki Patra, and Rachel Westphal in their postgame ceremony.
