ABOUT THE BEACH
-- Long Beach State enters the week with a 15-9 overall record having won 12 of their last 13 duals. Last week they were near perfect, going 7-1 in their eight duals including five sweeps.
-- At the Bigger West Challenge in San Luis Obispo, they won their first four matches while only surrendering two points to their conference foes. Their 12-match win streak was then snapped in the finale by No. 8 Hawaii in a 3-2 loss.
-- The Beach remains No. 12 in the AVCA poll extending their streak to 93 consecutive weeks of being ranked as they have been featured in the rankings every year of their existence since 2013.

PLAYER NOTES
-- Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah continue to be a dominant force for the Beach in their first collegiate season. Sporting an overall record of 20-4, they have won 13 consecutive duals and already rank just outside the top ten for most pairs wins in a single-season. The all-time record is 27 wins from Jenelle Hudson/Megan Kruidhoff back in 2017.
-- Natalie Glenn has been a revelation in her first year with the Beach. For the season, she has played with three different partners and has posted a 20-3 overall record in her matches. It ranks as the highest individual win percentage on the team this season.
-- Similarly, Maggie Walters  has had two different partners this season with Glenn being the primary. The grad transfer has been fantastic either way with a 15-4 overall record this season playing in the fifth flight.

PREVIEWING THE WEEK AHEAD
-- This week, the Beach will host a tri-dual with No. 10 Stanford and No. 16 FIU on Thursday and then another tri-dual featuring Stanford again, but Vanguard will be the third team involved on Friday. All six duals will be played at Rosie's Dog Beach.
-- Stanford enters the week with a 13-6 overall record and sits at No. 10 in the AVCA rankings. The Cardinal are coming off a pair of sweeps of San Francisco and San Jose State on Monday, but are 3-3 in their last six duals.
-- Florida International (FIU) is 9-9 overall on the season with seven of their losses coming against ranked opponents. They enter the week as the No. 16 team in the nation despite a 1-3 performance at the TCU Tournament this past weekend.
-- Vanguard has rolled through their competition this season, sporting a 14-1 overall record at the NAIA level. They have not played any Division I schools due to weather canceling two of their duals earlier this season.

HISTORY WITH THE OPPONENTS
-- Against the Cardinal, Long Beach State leads the all-time series 5-2 and won the last meeting between the two teams in April of last season.
-- The Beach is undefeated in three duals against Florida International with the last meeting coming in the 2017 season.
-- LBSU is also undefeated in three matches against Vanguard with the last matchup happening in 2021
