Zeglin Named Big West Pitcher of the Week

This is the second weekly honor for a Dirtbags pitcher this season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Nico Zeglin has been named the Big West Pitcher of the Week after a dominant performance against South Florida on Sunday. The conference office announced on Monday morning.
The graduate transfer was unhittable in his start against the Bulls, tossing seven no-hit innings to lead the Dirtbags to their fourth consecutive weekend series win. He allowed just two baserunners on the afternoon, one via walk and one via hit by pitch.
He also struck out a career-high 13 batters in his start, the first double-digit strikeout performance by a Long Beach State pitcher this year and most in a single-game by anyone in the conference through the first month of the season.
The right-hander currently ranks seventeenth in the nation with 34 strikeouts this season while also ranking in the top 50 in strikeouts per nine (13.91), strikeout-to-walk ratio (8.50), and WHIP (0.82)
