Osman Earns First Big West Pitcher of the Week Honor

The left-handed transfer led the Dirtbags to a season opening victory on Friday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Graham Osman has earned the first Big West Pitcher of the Week honor of the season. The conference office announced the winners on Monday.
The lefty picked up the victory, leading the Dirtbags to a 2-0 shutout win over Wichita State in their season opener on Friday. In seven shutout innings, he racked up eight strikeouts compared to just one walk. In his seven frames of work, he needed just 75 pitches to retire 21 of the 23 batters he faced. Of those 75, he threw 53 for strikes.
Allowing just one hit, he enters week two of the season he owns a .045 opponent batting average and his 0.29 WHIP ranks tied for seventh in the nation among pitchers with at least five innings pitched.
