Additionally, LBSU connected on 5-of-11 three-pointers for 45.5 percent shooting and went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the frame.
UCR had a strong second half that whittled LBSU's commanding 30-point lead (55-25) down to eight (65-57) in the fourth quarter. However, the Beach's lead was too much to overcome as Long Beach State went on to win, 68-58.

Although the game looked to be all Long Beach State, UC Riverside chipped away at the Beach's lead in the second half. The Highlanders managed to outscore LBSU 17-12 in the third quarter and 20-9 in the fourth to close the gap. However, Long Beach State would pull ahead and secure the win, 68-58.
