
Long Beach State Softball Announces Packed 2024 Schedule

The Beach aims to defend the Big West title following a high-profile non-conference schedule.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Softball has announced their 2024 schedule, featuring five top tournaments in the non-conference prior to an exciting Big West slate.
The Beach will once again travel internationally to kick off the season, participating in the Puerto Vallarta Collegiate Challenge in Mexico to start the season. Part of the tournament for the fourth time, the team will open the season against Nebraska and then face defending national champions Oklahoma in the second game of the year from Puerto Vallarta.
Traveling to Tucson, the Beach will then take part in the Bear Down Fiesta hosted by Arizona, and then once again feature in one of the nation's highest profile tournaments, the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City.
Long Beach State will start off their home schedule with a bang, hosting Michigan for a single game on Wednesday, February 28 at 6 p.m. under the lights at the LBSU Softball Complex. The Beach will return to the Judy Garman Classic in Fullerton this coming season with marquee games against Texas A&M, Florida and Oregon State before hosting the Louisville Slugger Invitational with games at the LBSU Softball Complex. The Beach will host the first game of the tournament against Toledo before taking on San Diego State, Princeton, Grand Canyon and Utah State as part of 10 games from March 6 to 10 in Long Beach.
Long Beach State will once again host UCLA, playing under the lights on Tuesday, April 2, as well as welcoming California Baptist on March 20 in two non-conference games at the LBSU Softball Complex.
In Big West action, the Beach will host five series against UC Davis, CSUN, UC Santa Barbara, Hawai'i and CSU Bakersfield. The series against the Runners will be the final home competition of the regular season on May 4-5. The Beach will then close out the year against Cal State Fullerton, facing the Titans in a series that has determined the Big West champions in each of the last three seasons.
