The Beach send a talented lineup to Corvallis to tee off on Monday, October 9

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State Men's Golf team heads to the Oregon State Invitational to close out the fall season. The Beach will tee off at Trysting Tree Golf Club on Monday, October 9 at 8:15 a.m. The first two rounds will take place on Monday, with the final round starting Tuesday, October 10 at 8:30 a.m.

The Beach are one of 14 teams competing in the tournament. LBSU will join host Oregon State, as well as Arkansas State, Boise State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Pacific, Sam Houston State, Seattle, Southern Miss, Tarleton State, Utah, Utah Tech, and Washington State in the invitational.

Long Beach State is coming off of a fourth-place finish at the Badger Invitational last week. LBSU tied VCU for fourth place with a 10-under par showing. The Beach were led by sophomore Jaden Huggins who shot a 70-74-67 for a 211, 5-under par performance to tie for fourth.

This week, the Beach will send their lineup of senior Clay Seeber, junior Charlie Forster, Huggins, senior Isaac Rodea, and sophomore Jack Cantlay into competition. Junior Steen Zeman will be competing as an individual.

Seeber comes into the Oregon State Invitational as the reigning Big West Men's Golfer of the Month. He turned in an excellent showing in the month of September as he was Long Beach State's top finisher in both contests. His solid performance led the Beach to capture the title at the Ram Masters Classic to kick off the fall season.

Forster has turned in a solid fall season thus far. The junior from Winchester, England is coming off of a Top 10 finish at the Badger Invitational in which he fired a 72-72-68 for a 212, 4-under par showing to tie for ninth.

Rodea looks to continue to build on his fall performances this week. Last week, Rodea shot an even 216 at the Badger Invitational as he looks to improve upon his score at the Oregon State Invitational.

Cantlay is back in the starting lineup after not playing last week at the Badger Invitational. In his last action of the season, Cantlay struggled as he finished 18-over par at the William Tucker Intercollegiate. The talented sophomore out of Los Alamitos, Calif., looks to get back to his 4-under par showing at the season-opening Ram Masters Invitational where he tied for second.

Rounding out the Beach's competitors for this week, Zeman will compete as an individual after shooting 8-over par at the Badger Invitational in his Long Beach State debut.
