
Long Beach State, Jaden Huggins Finish In The Top Five At The Badger Invitational

Long Beach State moves up four spots on the leaderboard to finish in a fourth place tie
MADISON, Wisc. – Sophomore Jaden Huggins was on fire in the final round of the Badger Invitational. He shot a 67 in the final round, to tie his career-best, while recording seven birdies. He finished the tournament at 5-under par, just three strokes behind the leader, and tied for a fourth-place finish.
The Beach climbed four spots up the leaderboard to finish the tournament at 10-under par, after shooting 8-under in the final round today. The team would share a fourth-place finish with VCU and were just three strokes behind tournament champion, Florida Gulf Coast.
Rounding out the top spots, Illinois State and Middle Tennessee State would tie for second place after shooting 12-under par for the tournament.
Junior Charlie Forster had a strong final round that earned him a top 10 finish. He recorded four birdies and a bogey-free round to finish the tournament at 4-under par as he shot a 68.
Senior Isaac Rodea finished the tournament at even par and tied for a 30th place finish after going 1-over in the final round. Clay Seeber shot an even par today to bring his tournament total to 1-over and tie for 37th. Junior Steen Zeman finished the round at 8-over par.
The Beach are back in action next week as they are set to compete in the Oregon State Invitational in Corvallis, Ore. Round one will begin Monday, October 9.
