Senior Isaac Rodea concludes the tournament with a Top 10 finish to lead the Beach

BREMERTON, Wash. – After a solid start in the first two rounds, the Long Beach State men's golf team held strong for a fifth-place finish in the Husky Invitational. In the final round of action, the Beach shot four strokes over par which gave them a 12-over par score of 876 for the tournament.

Washington State topped the leaderboard with a 4-over par 868, followed by USC with a 7-over par 871, and Washington with a 9-over par 873. Oregon finished just two strokes ahead of the Beach with a 10-over par 874.

Senior Isaac Rodea led the way for the Beach on Tuesday, shooting a 73 (+1) and finishing in a tie for eighth place. Steven Deutsch followed with a 4-over par showing and finished in a tie for 17^th place.

Jack Cantlay and Sebastian Vallejo both finished strong, posting their best scores of the tournament, shooting even par and 1-under par respectively. Rounding out the Long Beach State team was freshman Jaden Huggins who finished 6-over par.

Long Beach State also sent Bryce Kvick to compete as an individual in the Husky Individual Invitational. The senior finished strong with his best round of the tournament where he fired a 73 (+2).

The Beach will be back in action on Monday, September 26^th at the Nick Watney Invitational hosted by Fresno State.
