Alex Kalmar Finishes Fourth At USA Junior Championships

Kalmar was one of eight competitors nationally to qualify for the 800m run.
EUGENE, Ore. – Alex Kalmar closed out Long Beach State's competition at the USA Track and Field U20 championships on Saturday, finishing in fourth place in the 800-meter run.
Kalmar bested his Big West championship time by nearly a full second, running a 1.51.96 time to place fourth overall after qualifying for the 800 meter run.
Kalmar was the second competitor for the Beach at the USA U20 Championships, as Rahni Tuner also qualified in the 100m hurdles for the women, where she finished in sixth place. Both Kalmar and Turner return for the Beach next season as sophomores.
