Long Beach State Continues to Hold Second Place After Round Two of the Big West Championships

Ian Gilligan has a strong day two performance to keep him in second place

LA QUINTA, Calif.. – Long Beach State continues their run at the 2022 Big West Men's Golf Championship remaining in second place after round two with 3-over par at the La Quinta Country Club.
Ian Gilligan continued his steady performance finishing the second round 4-under par firing a 68, bringing his tournament total to 6-imder par. He solely holds second place and is three strokes out of first place.
The Beach trail UC Davis, who leads the tournament at 10-under par, by 13 strokes. CSUN closely follows Long Beach State in third place with 6-over par.
Following Gilligan is Isaac Rodea who shot a 74 on the day and is 2-over par for the tournament. Jack Ainscough climbed 15 spots to place him tied for 19th after shooting an even par on the day and bringing his total to 5-over par.
Steven Deutsch sits in the top 25 with a 5-over par, while Tyler Schafer finished day two with an 8-over par showing.
The Beach will compete in the final round of the Big West Championships Tuesday, May 3rd with an 8:50 tee time. Beach fans can follow along at Golfstat.com.
