Ashleigh Inae Named NFCA All-West Region

Inae earned the honor as a third baseman.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Ashleigh Inae earned a Third Team All-West Region selection as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday.
Inae, a graduate transfer, had an outstanding season in her only year at Long Beach State. Inae was second in the team in batting with a .321 average, and led the team with 10 doubles on the year, scoring 21 runs and finishing the year with a .399 on-base percentage. Additionally, Inae made just six errors on the season while starting 49 of 51 games for the Beach at third base.
The senior was even better in league play, leading the team with a .395 batting averaged and sharing in the league lead in doubles while walking 12 times and putting up an on-base percentage of .485, spending the majority of the year batting in the top three spots of the lineup for Long Beach State.
Division I Universities are split by region for this award from the NFCA, and honorees are selected by position. Inae earned selection against other universities in the southwest from the Pac-12, West Coast Conference and the WAC as well as the Big West.
Inae becomes the third straight third baseman at Long Beach State to earn All-Region, joining Suzy Brookshire in 2021 and Sydney McCollum in 2019. She previously was named First-Team All-Big West, and is one of seven players from the conference to receive All-West Region accolades.
