Isaac Rodea Earns First Place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic

Long Beach State finishes second in the tournament as the Beach were led by Isaac Rodea’s 13-under par first-place performance

CHANDLER, Ariz.. - Isaac Rodea turned in another outstanding performance which earned him first place in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at the Whirlwind Golf Club on Tuesday. Rodea shot 13-under par to lead Long Beach State to a second place finish.
Over three rounds, Rodea shot 65-69-69 for 13-under par. His first round score of 65 ties the Long Beach State record for the best first round. Rodea's total of 203 for 13-under was just one stroke short of the individual Cowboy Classic Tournament record of 202 (-14) set in 2021.
Long Beach State finished the tournament in second place, shooting an 838 for 11-under par at the Cattail Course. San Diego State was crowned the winner of the tournament after finishing with an 825 (-39). Colorado State and No. 38 Nevada tied for third place after shooting 23-under par.
Tyler Schafer continued his strong play into day two and finished the tournament 10-under par, tied for seventh place.
Rounding out the rest of the Beach, Ian Gilligan finished round with a 68 to climb up 32 spots to finish tied for 26th. Bryce Kvick shot 2-under par and finished the tournament tied for 40th place. Jack Ainscough shot 8-over par to end the tournament.
The Beach are back in action Wednesday, April 20th at the El Macero Classic in Davis, Calif. Beach fans can follow along at Golfstat.com.
