Softball To Hold Five Separate Summer Camp Activities

The LBSU Coaching Staff and student-athletes will participate in two week-long kids camps, two showcases and a high school clinic.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Head Coach Kim Sowder and her staff have announced a great selection of summer camps and clinics to give young players of any skill ability to learn and grow over the course of the summer.
Over all summer activities, Long Beach State's core values for the camps and clinics are in place. You will train using many of the same methods and facilities that the Long Beach State team utilizes, and all instruction is conducted by the Long Beach State coaching staff. We are dedicated to providing a low coach to camper ratio and we emphasize fundamentals in throwing, hitting, bunting, field mechanics, outfield play, base-running, pitching and catching. We pride ourselves in playing the game the right way.
The Beach is excited to announce the return of two weeks of softball summer kids camps, either from June 20-23 or July 11-14. Mornings are dedicated to building skills followed by afternoon scrimmages to help participants have fun and elevate their level of play. Long Beach State's kids camps are open to any and all ages 6 to 13.
Also in June is a showcase camp on June 24, the first of two the team will hold, with the second coming on August 27. Open to any and all high school grads class 2023-2026 and any current community-college aged players, the showcase is designed to be a place where participants can meet the Long Beach State coaching staff and familiarize yourself with the Beach softball program. Our showcases will provide participants with the valuable instruction for development as well as on opportunity to put their talents on display.
Long Beach State will also be hosting a clinic in late July, offering specific skills training to any and all high schoolers with graduating classes of 2023-2027.
