Long Beach in Top 3 After Second Round of Desert Intercollegiate

Tyler Schafer is in the top 5 after shooting 4-under par

PALM DESERT, Calif. -
Long Beach State finished the second round of the Desert Intercollegiate shooting 2-over par dropping the Beach to third place and at 1-under par for the tournament.
 
No. 45 Nevada sits in first place at 9-under par followed by Charlotte who is currently 7-under par. No. 49 Boise State and New Mexico State round out the top five at 1-over par each.
 
Tyler Schafer is in fifth place at 4-under par, two strokes behind the leader. He leads the Beach and is followed by Steven Deutsh (+1), Ian Gilligan (+4), Jack Ainscough (+5), and Bryce Kvick (+6).

LBSU leads all Big West schools in the tournament as the Beach are two strokes ahead of CSUN (+1), 18 strokes ahead of UC Riverside (+17), 22 strokes ahead of UC Irvine (+21), 23 strokes ahead of Cal State Fullerton (+22), and 24 strokes ahead of UC Santa Barbara (+23).
