LBSU Men’s Golf Set to Compete at the Desert Classic

The Beach will tee off on Wednesday, March 2 in the three-round tournament
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State Men's Golf team heads back to La Quinta, Calif., this time to compete at the Desert Classic hosted by Wyoming. The three-day tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 2 and conclude Friday, March 4 at the Classic Club, a 72 par course.
The 20 team tournament field will consist of Long Beach State, host Wyoming, as well as Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Charlotte, Colorado, Dixie State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, Seattle, Southern Utah, Texas State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UT Arlington, and UTSA.
Long Beach State is coming off of a Top 5 showing at The Prestige where the Beach was led by senior Jack Ainscough and junior Bryce Kvick who both finished in a tie for 21st.
This week, LBSU will send Kvick, Ainsough, senior Tyler Schafer, freshman Ian Gilligan, and freshman Steven Deutsch to compete. Meanwhile, sophomore Isaac Rodea will be competing individually.
