Gilligan finishes round two 4-under par to lead Long Beach State

STANFORD, Calif.- The Long Beach State Men's Golf team had a solid second round showing at The Goodwin after finishing 1-over par on Friday to move up three spots as they sit at 19th place for the tournament.

Freshman Ian Gilligan had a strong performance in round two finishing 4-under par and had six birdies in 18 holes. He is currently tied for 18th place and is five strokes behind the leader.

Host No.14 Stanford holds their top spot on the leaderboard shooting 20-under in two rounds. SMU and No. 47 Nevada are tied for second at 13-under par.

Tyler Schafer and Isaac Rodea continued their strong performances, both shooting even par in round two. Schafer sits at 1-over par and Rodea at 3-over par for the tournament.

Jack Ainscough finished round two shooting 3-over par while Bryce Kvick finished with 4-over par.

Long Beach will tee off at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26th. Beach fans can follow the final round via GolfStat.com.
