Ian Gilligan finishes in the Top 10 at The Goodwin to lead the Beach

Gilligan climbed the leaderboard eight spots in the final round to finish eighth with a 7-under par

STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Ian Gilligan led the way for Long Beach State, finishing tied for eighth at The Goodwin on Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course. Gilligan shot a 67 in the final round to help him climb eight spots on the leaderboard.

As a team, Long Beach State finished an even par on the day, climbing up two spots to finish in 17th place.

No. 9 Washington finished won the tournament after shooting 22-under par over three rounds. The Huskies are followed by No. 47 Nevada and No. 14 Stanford, who shot 19-under and 17-under par, respectively, to round out the top three.

Senior Tyler Schafer had a strong performance, shooting a 67 on the day. Schafer finished tied for 31st after shooting 2-under par in the tournament.

Bryce Kvick had a great final 18 holes, shooting a 71. Isaac Rodea finished the tournament shooting 8-over par and Jack Ainscough finished 16-over par.
