Long Beach State Set to Participate in The Goodwin

The Beach will play in the three-round tournament beginning Thursday, March 24
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State Men's Golf team is gearing up to compete in The Goodwin hosted by Stanford Thursday, March 24-Saturday, March 26.
The 28-team tournament will take place at the Stanford Golf Course, which is a Par 71, 6,742-yard course located in the foothills above the campus.
In addition to Long Beach State and host No. 14 Stanford, the tournament will feature BYU, Cal, Cal Poly, Colorado, Denver, Drexel, Florida Atlantic, No. 11 Georgia Tech, Hawaii-Hilo, Howard, Little Rock, Miami Ohio, Nevada, Northwestern, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose State, SMU, Saint Mary's, UC Davis, UCLA, No. 8 Washington, Washington State, and Wofford.
The Beach will send their talented lineup of senior Tyler Schafer, sophomore Isaac Rodea, freshman Ian Gilligan, senior Jack Ainscough, and redshirt junior Bryce Kvick to represent LBSU.
The Goodwin marks Long Beach State first tournament in three weeks. In their last action, the Beach placed fifth out of 20 teams at the Desert Classic as they were led by Schafer who tied for third place with a 6-under par finish.
