
Round Two Paused Due to Darkness at The Prestige

Long Beach State is in a tie for sixth place heading into the final day of action
LA QUINTA, Calif. - Day two of The Prestige came to a stop due to darkness, before the second round could be completed. The tournament was forced to come to a halt earlier in the day due to high winds, before being picked back up again at 4:30 p.m. at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.

Currently Long Beach State sits at tied for sixth with No. 48 Oregon as the Beach and the Ducks are 26-over par. The Beach are 12 strokes behind UC Davis, who leads the tournament at 14-over par.

Through two rounds, senior Jack Ainscough is shooting 8-over par and tied for 31st place. Sophomore Isaac Rodea finished 10-over par, while freshman Ian Gilligan sits at 12-over par heading into the final round.

Senior Tyler Schafer and junior Bryce Kvick were unable to finish the second round on Tuesday and will complete it tomorrow. Currently, Schafer sits at 4-over par and Kvick at 6-over par through 15 holes.

The second round will continue Wednesday, Feb. 23, before the teams will start the final round.
