Dirtbags Announce 2023 Schedule

Long Beach State will play 28 of their 55 games at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State has officially announced their schedule for the 2023 Dirtbags season. In total, they will play 55 games with 28 of them being home contests at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field.
The season opens at home as the Dirtbags welcome Wichita State to Long Beach for opening weekend. Opening day will be a 6 p.m. first pitch with the Shockers at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field followed by a 6 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 pm. start on Sunday.
Long Beach State will host two other weekend series to get ready for Big West action, as Seattle U and South Florida both make the trip to Southern California. The series against the Redhawks will be the second weekend of the season on February 24-26 with the Bulls coming out for the weekend of March 10-12.
The biggest road trip of the year will be the weekend of March 3-5 as the team heads to Greenville, N.C. for the LeClair Classic hosted by East Carolina. Friday's game will be against Georgetown, Saturday will be against defending AAC Champion and host ECU, and Sunday's matchup will be against Indiana.
Big West play opens up on March 17 as the Dirtbags head down I-5 for a three-game set with UC San Diego. The first home conference matchup will be March 31-April 2 when Cal Poly travels down the coast to Bohl Diamond at Blair Field.
The rest of the home Big West series will be against CSUN (April 14-16), CSU Bakersfield (May 5-7), UC Santa Barbara (May 12-14), and UC Davis (May 27-29).
Overall the Dirtbags will play four teams that made the NCAA Regionals including Super Regional host, East Carolina. Further, they will face seven teams that had 30-win seasons in 2022.
