Women’s Golf Finishes Fall Season At The Clash At Boulder Creek

Featuring a large field, the tournament will be held over three days at Boulder Creek Golf Course In Nevada.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State will play their final tournament of the fall starting on Sunday, October 23 as the Beach takes part in The Clash At Boulder Creek, hosted by Northern Arizona.
Played over three rounds, the tournament will be played at the Boulder Creek Golf Club with one round scheduled for each day from Sunday, October 23 to Tuesday, October 25. In total, 18 teams along with a number of individuals competing will fill out a field that is likely to feature over 100 golfers.
In addition to the hosts Northern Arizona and Long Beach State, three other Big West programs are participating in Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and UC Riverside. The remainder of the field will include Boise State, California Baptist, Idaho, Montana State, Nevada, North Dakota, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern Utah, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, UTEP, UT Rio Grande Valley and individuals participating from UNLV.
Jasmine Leovao will lead off the lineup for Long Beach State. The true freshman is coming off of the best tournament in her young career, as she finished third overall at the Aggie Invitational, finishing the tournament at 4-under par.
Long Beach State's most consistent performer in junior Hannah Ko will take the second spot. Ko has been the No. 2 finisher for the Beach in all three fall tournament so far, including a Top 10 finish at the Aggie Invitational. Ko has shot even par or under in the majority of her rounds this season.
Kristina Ponomareva is coming off of two strong tournaments and will also feature for the Beach in Nevada. Ponomareva was in the Top 25 at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, three over par for the tournament in her best finish of the year before placing 31st in an 82 golfer field at the Aggie Invitational. Janae Leovao led the Beach in the first two tournaments of the year and will be looking to recapture that form at Boulder Creek, while Angelina Kim rounds out the lineup, coming off of a strong individual performance at the South Korean Sports Festival representing the USA.
