Softball Camps Continue Throughout Summer

Long Beach State will host two more showcase clinics as well as a kids camp this summer.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Kim Sowder and the rest of the Long Beach State coaching staff are thrilled to announce the return of the program's camps, including a full slate of camps this summer.
Kids Camp Information | July 31 Showcase Clinic | August 8 Showcase Clinic
Long Beach State's kids camps return on July 19 for a week of fun open to any and all children ages 6 to 13 (8th grade and younger). Featuring a low coach to camper ratio, we emphasize fundamentals in throwing hitting, bunting, field mechanics, outfield play, baserunning, pitching and catching. Afternoon scrimmages help each participant develop new skills and elevate their level of play. We pride ourselves on hands-on instruction and making Long Beach State softball camps an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Our camps are staffed by Long Beach State Softball coaches and players, and we pride ourselves on playing the game the right way. It is this philosophy and tradition that has led Long Beach State to be one of the top college softball programs in the country.
Fresh off of the success of the June showcase clinic, the Beach is also excited to announce two more clinics coming up on July 31 and August 8 which are open to any and all high school graduates from 2022-25 and any current community college aged players. Long Beach State Softball is offering their annual skills showcase camp. Each athlete will be able to display their abilities and work ethic. You will train using many of the same methods and facilities that the Long Beach State team utilizes. The camp will also consist of skill & game evaluation as well as an educational clinic/Q&A focused on the recruiting needs of a NCAA Division I athlete.
Instruction is conducted by the Long Beach State coaching staff. Participants will also be divided into teams for evaluations of their performance in game situations. This will be a modified camp schedule due to COVID protocols so therefore the camp is limited to PODS/TEAMS of 14. We are limiting this to the FIRST 56 campers registered. This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet the Long Beach State coaching staff and familiarize yourself with the LBSU softball program.
The Showcase will provide you with valuable instruction for your development as a player and an opportunity for you to display your talents. No cancellations, refunds, or credit will be given 48 hours prior to camp. Once camp application is received, a confirmation letter will be emailed to you.
