Long Beach State Heads into the Big West Men’s Golf Championships as the No. 2 Seed

The three-day event runs from Sunday, May 2 – Tuesday, May 4 at the La Quinta Country Club

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State men's golf program has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2021 Big West Men's Golf Championship which will take place at the La Quinta Country Club beginning Sunday, May 2 and wrapping up Tuesday May 4.

The Beach are co-hosting the tournament along with UC Irvine, which features 54 holes that will be played out over three days at the 72-par course.

LBSU is the No. 2 seed in the tournament behind top-seeded UC Davis. Cal Poly is the No. 3 seed, while CSUN, Cal State Fullerton, and UC Irvine take the No. 4, 5, and 6 spots, respectively. Rounding out the championship are UC Santa Barbara, Hawaii, and UC Riverside, which are the No. 7, 8, and 9 seeds, respectively.

The lineup for Long Beach State features Hunter Epson, Clay Seeber, Isaac Rodea, Tyler Schafer, and Hunter Reed. The Beach will tee off in the first round at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday.
