Long Beach State In Fourth After Second Round At Big West Championship

The final round tees off at Yorba Linda Country Club Wednesday morning.
YORBA LINDA, Calif. – Senior Holland Shourds remained in the Top 5 at the Big West Championships after the second round, and led a round of balanced scores from Long Beach State who closed out the day in fourth place.
Shourds closed the day in a two-way tie for third place at one-under par for the tournament after a one-over 73 on the day. True freshman Angelina Kim also finished with the same score on Tuesday to improve to a tie for 12th overall.
Chloe Carraway and Hunter Pate both finished Tuesday four-over par for the tournament, with Carraway shooting back-to-back rounds of 74 while Pate closed the second round with a 75 after a 73 on Monday. Freshman Vanessa Richani rounded out the LBSU scores with a 77 in the second round.
UC Irvine continues to lead the tournament in the team completion as Megan Yang held on the lead with a 73 after yesterday's stunning seven-under 65. The Beach is also chasing Cal Poly and UC Davis in the final round.
