Long Beach State Men’s Golf Tournament Halted Due to Darkness

At the time of stoppage, the Beach were shooting 2-under par and in a tie for 12th place
PHOENIX – The Thunderbird Collegiate hosted by Arizona State at the Papago Golf Course was halted prior to the second round being completed due to darkness. At the time of stoppage, Long Beach State was shooting 2-under par and in a tie for 12th place.
The Beach, along with New Mexico and Colorado State were the only three teams unable to finish the second round.
Long Beach State started the day off with a 285 first round score for one over par, and had shot 3-under in the second round to bring their day one total to 2-under par.
Senior Hunter Epson fired a 66 in the first round and was 1-under at the 17 th hole when the tournament was halted. Overall, Epson is 6-under par and in a tie for 13th place as he leads the way for the Beach.
The second round of the Thunderbird Collegiate will continue on Saturday, April 17 followed by the final round at the completion of round two. Fans can follow all the action via GolfStat.com.
