Germann and Pratesi Named Big West Pair of the Week

Freshman Skyler Germann and redshirt sophomore Alice Pratesi have been named the Big West Pair of the Week.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Freshman Skyler Germann and redshirt sophomore Alice Pratesi have been named the Big West Pair of the Week.
The duo continued their phenomenal start to the 2021 season last week going 3-1 in the team's four matches.
Germann and Pratesi started the week with a straight set sweep against Vanguard in the first match of the Thursday tri-dual. In the second match of the day against No. 7 Loyola Marymount, the pair dropped the first set, but bounced back to take the next two for the victory.
The Beach traveled to Malibu, Calif. on Sunday for another tri-dual and the duo shined again. Against No. 9 Pepperdine, Germann and Pratesi once again overcame a first set loss to win the dual in three sets. Their lone loss came against No. 3 USC, but they were the only LBSU pair to win a set against the Trojans.
Overall for the season, Germann and Pratesi are now 5-1 to begin the year.
