
Long Beach State Men’s Golf Heads to Bandon Dunes Championships

The Beach will compete in the three-day tournament beginning Sunday, March 7
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State men's golf team looks to continue its solid start to the 2021 season at the Bandon Dunes Championships in Bandon, Ore. The tournament will be held on Sunday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 9 at the Bandon Trails Course.
The 14-team tournament will feature Washington State, Seattle, Boise State, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Utah Valley, Northern Colorado, Fresno State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Stanford, Grand Canyon, and Long Beach State.
There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and the Beach will send a talented lineup of Clay Seeber, Hunter Epson, Isaac Rodea, Tyler Schafer, and Hunter Reed into action.
The Beach will be back on the green following an excellent showing last weekend at the Sacramento State Intercollegiate in which LBSU took second place after shooting an impressive 22-under par to come in just two strokes shy of first.
Long Beach State had three players finish in the top 10 with Seeber leading the way with a second place finish after shooting 10-under, while Epson came in third with a 9-under par. Rodea rounded out the top 10 with a sixth-place finish after shooting 5-under par.
