Men’s Golf Concludes Second Round of Action at The Goodwin

As a team, LBSU shaved one stroke off their game in the second round

STANFORD, Calif. – On day two of The Goodwin, Long Beach State managed to shave one stroke off its game as the Beach are in 25th and shooting 37-over par in the competitive tournament in which only two of 28 teams are under par heading into the final round.

Arizona State leads The Goodwin with 9-under, while host Stanford is in second place with 4-under. In a three-way tie for third place are Washington, St. Mary's, and Pepperdine which are all shooting 7-over par.

Individually, Isaac Rodea continues to lead the Beach. After shooting a 69 in the first round, Rodea shot a 74 in the second round as he is now 3-over par and in a tie for 36th place.

Hunter Reed, Clay Seeber, and Tyler Schafer each improved in the second round. Reed, who shot a 76 in the first round came back with a 75, while Seeber took three strokes off of his first-round score as he turned in a 75 today. Lastly, Schafer improved his score by two strokes with a 75 in the second round.
