LBSU Outdoor Track and Field Begins 2021 Season with Trojan Invitational

The Long Beach State outdoor track and field team returns to action this weekend after over a year since their last event, participating in the Trojan Invitational hosted by USC.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State opens their 2021 outdoor season with the Trojan Invitational, hosted by USC. It will be the first event for the Beach in over a year after COVID-19 ended their season early in 2020.

The event begins on Friday at the Jack Rose Track Complex as the Beach hosts the throws portion of the meet. Saturday, the schools will head to the Cromwell Field & Loker Track Stadium at USC for the remaining events.

The schools joining LBSU in the event include Cal, Washington State, Utah's women's roster, and the host Trojans.

The Beach is excited to have a large senior class leading the way for a program that is looking to maintain their recent heights. The men's side is aiming at repeating as Big West Champions after taking the crown in 2019, while the women are looking to again climb to the top after winning the championship in 2018.
