Men’s Golf Completes First Round at Wolf Pack Classic, Before Second Round is Suspended for Darkness

Isaac Rodea led the Beach after the first round with a 1-over par for a T14

RENO – The Long Beach State men's golf team was able to finish the first round at the Wolf Pack Classic, but was unable to complete the second round as darkness fell over the Hidden Valley Country Club on Monday evening.
After the first 18-holes the Beach were in sixth place with 9-over par and just two strokes out of the top five. New Mexico was at the top of the leaderboard with 4-under par, followed by San Francisco which was in second with 3-under. UCLA rounded out the top three with a 4-over par showing in the first round.
The Beach were led by sophomore Isaac Rodea who completed the first round with a 1-over par showing to place in a tie for 14th place. Rodea paced the Long Beach State squad of Steven Deutsch (2-over), Jack Ainscough (3-over), Ian Gilligan (3-over), and Clay Seeber (7-over) as the top four Beach players all finished the opening round in the top 30.
Round two of the Wolf Pack Classic will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 9:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the second round, the final round will begin.
