LBSU in Season Openers
Long Beach State opens the season in the month of December for the ninth time in program history, and for the first time since December 4, 1993 when the Beach defeated Loyola Marymount, 64-57, in Los Angeles. The start date of December 12 is the latest the Beach has started the year since 1975 when LBSU kicked off the season on December 19 versus Fresno State with an 86-44 victory.
In season openers, Long Beach State is 33-24 overall and looking for its first season-opening victory since the 2016-17 season when LBSU defeated Nevada on the road, 97-93.
When kicking off the season at home in the Walter Pyramid, LBSU owns a 42-15 record and is coming off of a 94-47 win a year ago over Westcliff.
In the Hunt

Coming into the 2020-21 season, Hunt has tallied 110 career made three-point field goals which makes her just one shy of breaking into the Long Beach State top 10. Hunt is averaging 1.8 made three-pointers per game. If she continues at this pace, she will finish this season with 145 which is good for fifth all time at the Beach.
