The Beach welcomes another former All-CIF selection in shortstop Marissa Caballero. Rebekah Durazo
Freshman, INF, Los Angeles, Calif. (Heritage Christian HS)
Rebekah Durazo is a multiple all-league selection out of Heritage Christian High School. Rated as a Top 100 player by FloSoftball on multiple occasions, she hit .339 as a freshman before raising her average to .509 while primarily playing catcher. She played club softball with So Cal Choppers.
Sowder on Durazo
"Rebekah is a very strong hitter who will bring a lot of power to our offense. Defensively, she adds depth behind the plate with a very strong arm. She has a great work ethic and loves to compete."
Bella Flexen
Freshman, INF, Murrieta, Calif. (Murrieta Mesa HS)
Long Beach State's final addition of the current class, Flaxen is a middle infielder out of Murrieta Mesa High School. Leading the Rams to a league championship in 2018, she's also had an excellent record of success with her Firecrackers club team.
Sowder on Flexen
"Bella is a utility player who plays both in the infield and outfield. She covers a lot of ground wherever she plays defensively with her tremendous speed. Offensively, she hits from the left side and really makes things happen with her speed and ability to place the ball. She has a great work ethic and her versatility will be valuable to our team."
