Busy Week Ahead For No. 7 Long Beach State

The Beach finishes out their long homestand with four games this week.
LONG BEACH, Calif.—No. 7 Long Beach State will finish out their home schedule in a busy week with games against UC San Diego, Pacific, Cal and Long Beach City College.
The first game will take place on Wednesday as the Beach matches up against No. 9 UC San Diego (15-5) at 6 p.m. at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center. The Beach will then take on conference rival, No. 3 Pacific (13-3) on Friday at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Beach will play No. 8 Cal (10-7) at Noon followed by Senior Day and then a 3 p.m. matchup against Long Beach City College (23-1).
The Beach is coming off a heartbreaking 11-10 loss to UC Santa Barbara. Freshman Rafael Real Vergara led the team with four goals and one steal on the night. Junior Nemanja Bakic and sophomore Garrett Zaan each scored two goals with the help from Matt Morris and Theodoros Pateros who each contributed one goal in the nail biter.
