Nichole Fry Named To USA Softball Player Of The Year Watch List

Fry is one of 50 players nationwide selected to the Preseason Watch List.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Nichole Fry was named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List as announced by USA Softball on Wednesday. Fry was a first-team All-Big West selection as a junior in 2018.
A three-year starter at shortstop, Fry returns for her final season at the Beach as one of the top hitters in the Big West, as well as in program history.
A first-team All-Big West selection a year ago, Fry hit .372 with 17 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 41 RBI while scoring a single-season record and Big West leading 52 runs as Long Beach State's leadoff hitter one season ago.
During the season, Fry put together a 15-game hitting streak, the fourth-longest in school history, and has the opportunity to finish in Long Beach State's career Top 10 in eight categories, and can very easily finish her career as the school's all-time leader in runs scored.
