Husky Invitational Begins Tuesday for Men’s Golf

Long Beach State will begin its second tournament of the season on Tuesday in Sammamish, Wash. for the Husky Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington.

SCHEDULE
Tuesday, Sept. 25 - First & Second Rounds, 8 a.m. (PT) shotgun start
Wednesday, Sept. 26 - Final Round, 8 a.m. (PT) shotgun start
Men's golf opens the Husky Invitational on Tuesday with the first two rounds of the event, taking place at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash. The action begins at 7 a.m. PT with a shotgun start to kick off round one.
Long Beach State will send out the same lineup this week after an 8th place finish at the Ram Masters Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. to open the season. Freshman Tyler Schafer led the way for Long Beach in the year's first event, finishing in a tie for 15th in his collegiate debut.
The Beach will be one of 12 teams competing at this week's tournament, hosted by the University of Washington. In addition to the Huskies, LBSU is also competing against Boise State, Idaho, Seattle, San Jose State, Hawai'i, Washington State, Nevada, San Diego, as well as teams from Taiwan and Sweden.
The last time Long Beach State was scheduled to compete in the Husky Invitational to start out the 2011-12 season, the event was cancelled due to weather. Live results for this year's event, which shows a much more favorable forecast, will be available online at GolfStat.com.
