Men’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Ram Masters Invitational

Long Beach State will head to Fort Collins, Colo. for the Ram Masters Invitational, hosted by Colorado State. The two-day invitational begins Monday with the first two rounds of competition.

Monday, Sept. 18 - First & Second Rounds, 7 a.m. (PT) shotgun start
Tuesday, Sept. 19 - Final Round, 7 a.m. (PT) tee times
The Beach will get the 2018-19 men's golf season underway in Fort Collins, Colo. at the Ram Masters Invitational, starting Monday, Sept. 18 with the first two rounds of the invitational. The 17-team invitational is being hosted by Colorado State, winners of the event in each of the last four years.
In addition to Long Beach State and the host Rams, the other teams competing at the invitational will be Cal State Fullerton, Denver, Idaho, Illinois State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Omaha, Rice, Sam Houston State, Seattle, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Washington State, Wichita State, Wyoming and Colorado.
Long Beach State returns an experienced group of upperclassmen this season, including seniors Niels Andersen, Joe Fryer and Patrick Pockels, along with junior Hunter Reed. Fryer is coming off a terrific summer on the local circuit and will look to continue that fine play this season. He was a First Team All-Big West selection last season for Long Beach State.
LBSU competed at this event last season, finishing 10th out of 19 teams. Fryer was Long Beach's top finisher, tying for 8th with a 1-under score of 209 for the tournament.
