Nick Amado Selected VolleyMob Third Team All-American

LONG BEACH – Days after notching the game-winning point in the National Championship match, redshirt junior middle blocker Nick Amado has been named to the VolleyMob All-America Third Team.
Amado closed out the season ranking fifth in the nation in blocks per set (1.18), while adding 1.50 kills per set on .442 hitting (139-24-260).
The Aliso Niguel, Calif., native took home AVCA Second Team All-American honors and Big West First Team All-Conference accolades.
This season, Amado led Beach in blocks on 12 occasions. His career-high of nine blocks came at then No-4 UC Irvine to help lift Long Beach State to a four-set victory.
