Long Beach State Finishes Round Two Action in 16th Place

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Long Beach State battled through tough conditions at TPC Harding Park in their second round at the NCAA Regional. The Beach carded a 304, 16-over par after battling winds of up to 15 mph on the links. LBSU currently sits in 16th place as they head into the final round of the tournament.
Jennifer Yu led the way for the Beach today as she finished with a 72, one-over par in her second round of the tournament. Haley Tygret finished the second round with a 75, three-over par. The highlight of the day for Tygret came on the ninth hole where she sank an eagle on the 490-yard, par five. Cara Barker and Holland Shourds both shot a 78, six-over par on the day while Maria Davis carded an 82, 10-over par.
Kent State and hosts Stanford are currently tied for the lead following the second round of the tournament. They currently hold a one stroke lead over second place UCLA.
