Josh Tuaniga Garners VolleyMob Second Team All-America Honors

LONG BEACH – On the heels of leading Long Beach State to a National Championship, and being named AVCA National Player of the Year, LBSU junior setter Josh Tuaniga was selected to the VolleyMob All-America Second Team.
Tuaniga earns the accolades after finishing the season ranked sixth in the nation with an assists per set average of 10.43, while adding 1.71 digs per set, 0.41 blocks per set, 0.29 aces per set, and 0.60 kills per set. He also boasts an attack percentage of .495 (59-11-97).
The Long Beach, Calif., native led the Beach to a nation-leading .375 hitting percentage as the Beach concluded the year with a 28-1 record for a nation-best winning percentage of .966.
Tuaniga has been racking up the honors this season. In addition to being named National Player of the Year, he also was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament, Big West Tournament MVP, All-Big West First Team, AVCA First Team All-American, and won the Lloy Ball Award for the nation's top setter.
