Men's Golf Stays Local For 2018 Southwestern Invitational

Long Beach, Calif. - After a week off from competition, Men's Golf returns refreshed and ready for action in the 2018 Southwestern Invitational. A field of 15 teams will participate in the tournament at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
The tournament begins with two rounds on Monday, February 26, with the final round starting on Tuesday, February 27.
Long Beach State is set to bounce back after placing 11th out of 20 teams at the John Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Hawaii. Junior Andres Gonzalez led the team for the tournament finishing one-over par and tying for 33rd place. Sophomore Hunter Reed finished at three-over par but led LBSU through its first two rounds after posting a 70 (-2) and 71 (-1).
The field for the 2018 Southwestern Invitational features two of the Top 25 teams in the country, UCLA and Tennessee, and one other Big West school in UC Davis. Rounding out the field are Augusta, Denver, Loyola Marymount, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, Washington State and hosts Pepperdine.
There will be live scoring at www.golfstat.com. Monday's shotgun action starts at 7:30 a.m. while Tuesday's tee times off holes 1 and 10 start at 7:45 a.m.
