Long Beach State's youth camps offer a low coach to camper ratio, and include instruction from the successful coaches and staff of the Beach with an emphasis on fundamentals in all areas of the game as well as creating an enjoyable experience, capped off with afternoon scrimmages.
The winter youth camp will run from January 2nd to 4th, with discounts offered for early registration. The summer camps are open to any and all girls from 6 to 13 prior to entering 9th grade.
Head Coach Kim Sowder and the Long Beach State softball program will also be offering a winter showcase clinic. Space in the showcase is limited to the first 40 participants who sign up, and is open to any and all high school and community college players interested in pursuing softball at the Division I level.
Training and instruction at the showcase clinics will follow the same methods and facilities used by the successful Long Beach State program, and will offer both skill and game evaluation.
