Long Beach State is up north in Stockton for the 16-team Pacific Invitational, running Thursday-Saturday at the Stockton Country Club.

After a two-week hiatus, Long Beach State men's golf is back in action this weekend, opening the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Thursday at Stockton Country Club. This will be the first three-day tournament for the Beach this season, finishing up with the final round on Saturday. This is the second straight tournament in Northern California for LBSU after competing at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif. Oct. 8-9.
Long Beach State will be looking for its fourth straight Top 10 finish to start the season. Senior Joe Fryer has been the team's top finisher in each of the last two tournaments, coming off a 2-under performance at the MacKenzie Invitational.
LBSU will be competing against 15 other schools at the tournament, with the host Pacific Tigers also welcoming in Grand Canyon, Sacramento State, St. Mary's, UC Irvine, San Francisco, BYU, UC Santa Barbara, Pacific, San Jose State, Nevada, CSUN, UC Riverside, Fresno State, Cal Baptist and South Dakota.
The Beach lineup will feature Fryer, senior Patrick Pockels, junior Hunter Reed, freshman Bryce Kvick and junior Hunter Epson. Live results from the tournament will be available on GolfStat.com.
