Long Beach State will be looking to upset USC on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m as they play the Trojans for the second time in a week.

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State will play host to the USC Trojans on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. as they look to pull an upset. The Beach are coming off a weekend where they played in the MPSF Invite, including a game against USC, and hoping to end a three-game losing streak.

USC will enter the contest having won the MPSF Invite by knocking off No. 1 Stanford and previously beating No. 3 Cal. Earlier in the tournament, USC and LBSU matched up as well with the Trojans overpowering the Beach by a score of 14-8.

LBSU will be entering the match on a three-game losing streak, having lost to USC, and two close games against UC Santa Barbara and Pacific. Long Beach State's last game came against Pacific where they fell to the Tigers by a score of 10-9. Junior Austin Stewart will look to continue his hot play from last weekend, when he tallied 13 goals over the five game span, including seven goals in the win over UC Davis. Stewart leads the Beach in total goals with 33, followed by senior Chandler Kaltenbach with 18 and junior Johnathan Wong with 18 as well. Senior Keegan Wicken tallied 17 goals so far on the season and freshman Aaron Arias has 14 goals to round up the top five scorers for the Beach.
