Christina Kotsia Named Big West Player of the Week

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's Christina Kotsia was named Big West Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.

Kotsia was the catalyst on offense for LBSU last week as she has been for most of the season. The senior led the Beach to an 8-7 conference road win over No. 22 CSUN as she scored four goals (two in the fourth period), which ties a single game season-high.

Kotsia currently leads the team with 36 goals scored this season and has been exceptional on defense all year long.

Long Beach State plays three games at home this week as Brown and Hartwick come to town tomorrow and Big West foe UC Davis visits on Saturday.
