Tygret Ties For 18th At Briar's Creek Invitational

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. - Haley Tygret recorded a 73 in Tuesday's final round of the Briar's Creek Invitational to tie for 18th place at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek.
Long Beach State posted a team score of 308 to finish in 17th with a three-round score of 53-over-par 917.
Sixth-ranked Florida captured the team title with a 15-under 849, as the Gators won by 18 shots over second-place Campbell (+3) and 19 strokes over No. 27 Illinois (+4) in third.
Tygret recorded five birdies and six bogeys for the round to finish with a 54-hole score of 2-over 218. This was the sophomore's first top-20 finish this season and fourth overall.
Junior Jennifer Yu posted her best round of the tournament with a 73 to move up eight spots in the standings to tie for 56th at 10-over 226.
Freshman Maria Davis shot an 82 to place 83rd at 20-over, while redshirt freshman Euna Pak carded an 81 to tie for 86th at 22-over.
Freshman Holland Shourds tied for 91st after shooting an 81 (+26).
The Gators' Maria Torres ranked 12th in the nation, captured individual medalist with a 7-under 209, winning by three shots over Laura Fuenfstueck (-4) of College of Charleston.
The 49ers return to action on Sunday, Apr. 9, for the three-day Silverado Showdown at the Silverado Resort North Course in Napa, Calif.
