LBSU Completes Day One At Silverado Showdown In Napa

NAPA, Calif. - Long Beach State sophomore Haley Tygret and freshman Holland Shourds shot a 75 in Sunday's opening round of the Silverado Showdown, tying for 39th place at the Silverado Resort North Course.
LBSU posted a 20-over-par 308 to finish in 18th. Third-ranked Stanford leads the field of 18 teams with a 5-under 283, as the Cardinal holds a one-shot lead over No. 6 UCLA (-4) in second and seven strokes over No. 33 Colorado and No. 48 Oregon (+2) tied for third.
Junior Jennifer Yu tied for 63rd with a 77 and freshman Maria Davis in 86th after carding an 81.
Sophomore Breann Fox shot an 85 tying for 91st.
Bianca Pagdanganan of Gonzaga sits on top of the leaderboard of 92 players with a 5-under 67, as she holds a one-shot lead over three players tied for second.
Second round play is scheduled for Monday with the 49ers teeing off at 9:30 a.m. (PT) with Hawai'i and San Francisco from the 10th tee.
